Travel Accommodations in Costa Rica

Airlines that fly to Costa Rica

Prisma Dental, committed to give you a high quality attention, help you with suggestions for your travel accommodations in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica has become one of the easiest travel destinations for American and world travelers alike. With most major airlines now serving San Jose’s Juan Santamaria Airport [SJO], and more and more each year serving Liberia’s Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR), arrival options for visitors are plentiful. Many airlines service the San Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica. Major hubs in the United States in cities like Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, Denver, Houston and Atlanta provide direct flights. Check your airline providers for more detailed flight information.

The air fares for each airport are relatively the same although you’ll tend to see more specials and sales into San Jose. Many travelers to Costa Rica will start their journey in the San Jose area but end it in the Pacific Northwest beaches; in this case you can fly into San Jose and out of Liberia. Many popular airlines have daily and weekly flights into Costa Rica.

Money Exchange Rates US $ to CR Ȼ

We here at Prisma Dental accept all US $ bills as payment for your dental treatment, however most places will accept US $ if you use low denomination bills such as $20 bills, $10 bills, $5 or $1 dollar bills. Just one bank in all of Costa Rica, will accept coins for the US dollar currency.

We will suggest not exchanging dollars in the bank as it will not be necessary. Once you pay with dollar bills they will give you your change back in colones (Costa Rican currency).  Here at Prisma Dental our prices and payments are handled with US $ currency.

The exchange rate here in Costa Rica changes every day, however it seems to remain within the same rates, just really small changes. The easiest way for you to know how to calculate with the exchange rate is the following:

  • Every US $1 is equal to Ȼ500 + ( Today´s exchange rate would be of $1 = Ȼ541, 08/07/2015).
  • This would mean that for example $20 would be around Ȼ10,000 colones or Ȼ20,000 colones would equal around $40 US.

Before you arrive to Costa Rica for your dental treatment plan and procedures, we will try to give you an overall idea on how much the bill might sum add to, this might change once you are clinically evaluated. However, this will give you a heads up in order to be able to let your bank know that you will be travelling abroad and charging your debit/credit cards with a certain amount.

At Prisma Dental we accept all mayor Credit and Debit cards, wire transfers and cash in US dollars and colones as well.
