Dental Cleaning

Prophylaxis or better known as dental cleaning is the most important dental procedure for the prevention of some diseases and disorders of oral character.

The main objective is to clean tooth surface removing dental tartar or calcified plaque, it is adhered and accumulated in areas of the tooth brushing is not accessible. This calcified plaque accumulated over long periods of time is a source of bacteria and other microorganisms that cause gum disease and periodontal tissues, whose ultimate consequences are bleeding gums, mobility of teeth, bad breath and infections.
