First Visit to Prisma Dental – FAQ’s

Welcome to your first appointment at Prisma Dental, we are overjoyed to have you with us today. We understand that your oral health is a priority in your life and your priority is ours too.

Today we would like to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about how to arrange your stay while visiting Costa Rica for the first time.

How can I get to Prisma?

Prisma Dental is located at a prestigious zone just 20 minutes from the International Airport called Rohrmorser. You can have easy access through public transport and cabs. Over the years what has worked most for our patients is to stay at a nearby hotel where they easily just walk over leisurely to and from the clinic. The great advantage is that there are plenty of hotels where you can stay and if your treatment requires you to stay for over a week some hotels offer an amazing rate for longer stays. If you would like a recommendation for accommodation options feel free to contact our Patient Coordinator, she will be more than happy to give you amazing options near Prisma.

Do I need a Visa to visit Costa Rica?

No, citizens from the US or Canada do not need a visa to enter the country, just buy your ticket and come over, our doors are open for you.

What happens if I do not speak Spanish?

Our staff at Prisma Dental is fully bilingual and speak fluently both English and Spanish. You can also speak English at most hotels and even restaurants, if you need a cab and you do not speak Spanish we recommend that you ask the receptionist at your hotel to call the cab for you and have the address of Prisma Dental at hand so you can show it to the driver. If you need a cab after your appointment at Prisma, our Patient Coordinator can arrange for one to pick you up at the clinic.

Do you accept US dollars?

At Prisma Dental, our quotations are calculated in US dollars and we accept both cash and credit cards. As for Costa Rica in general most establishments receive US dollars but most will not receive a hundred-dollar bills. Our recommendation is that you use your credit cards and if you need cash make use of the ATM machines since you will be charged only a small commission for and the exchange rate will always be a fair one. Do not carry a lot of cash with you for safety purposes.
