  • Is dentistry in Costa Rica affordable?

    Prices for dental treatment at Prisma Dental in Costa Rica vary from a third to half the cost of dental treatment in a private clinic in United States.

  • Is there a certain number of days I need to be in Costa Rica for dental treatment?

    The days we request our patients to be in Costa Rica vary from 5-10 days depending on the treatment they’re seeking. We don’t ask for all this time to be at the clinic, we diagnose and treat on day 1 and deliver on day 5 or 10. This gives our patients time to enjoy our country’s wonderful attractions.

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

    Yes! Everyone is welcome to our clinic. Our schedule is from Monday-Friday 8am-7pm.
    We always have availability for dental cleanings and consults as walk-ins or scheduled any time of the day. Hygiene is the key, let us help you maintain a healthy smile.

  • Basic Travel Requirements for Costa Rica

    A valid and current passport is required to enter Costa Rica as well as a pre-paid airline or bus ticket to exit Costa Rica within a 90 day time frame. A visa is not required for individuals traveling from the United States, Canada, Australia, and most European countries. Please check with your embassy before traveling to ensure that you do no require a visa to enter Costa Rica.

  • Do you know any hotels nearby?

    Prisma Dental is located in a centric neighborhood, just 10 minutes away from downtown San Jose and 30 minutes from Juan Santamaria Airport.   • Is Costa Rica safe?

    Costa Rica is a safe country in Latin America. Us “ticos” or Costa Ricans are very pleasant and chill, know for being “pura vida”.

  • Do you accept dollars?

    All our prices are in US dollars. Email us at or fill a pre-consultation form for a rough estimate of the treatment you’re seeking.

  • Prisma Dental have digital x-rays?

    Prisma Dental considered one of the top clinics of Costa Rica for years. We have state-of-the-art technology, digital x-rays, cone beam tomography and digital dentistry. Our lab is able to scan dental models, and mill a crown in less than 2 hours!
